🍜 Food wise: For bar food, this was surprisingly good! Better than good actually. Each item on this dish was made perfectly, although it was saucy but it wasn’t too greasy.
There was this lamb masala, thought to be an oily dish, but it wasn’t! It was fragrant, well balanced flavour of spices and it came with soft and tender lamb! The meat also had the nice aroma of the spices, they were generous about it too! They came with crispy hot bread that one can dip into the sauce of the masala, delicious!
Then there was nachos, so good! Nice and crispy, the nachos were well layered with the guacamole, cheese, and salsa, so refreshing!
There were also a variety of sausages, 4 different sausages, firm, soft, and tender, some more juicy and the other. Taste wise, they were not very salty, not very sure what was the difference in them though.
The salad was also tasty and refreshing, fresh, sweet, and appetizing!
✨ Ambience wise: Great bar! Very cozy and serves delicious beers!
🤵🏻 Service wise: Great!
💵 Price wise: $45.90

I am disappointed with the beer so flat and food mediaocre..its cheap overall but quality has dropped a lot.
It used have the best quality and food taste before.I am shocked at the standard now.
I wont mind paying more for really good chilled fresh beer and great food like before.

Was a huge fan of Al Capone’s, especially the Cuppage outlet — it’s always been my go-to spot for great food and drinks at reasonable prices. So when I saw the Kallang Wave Mall branch, I confidently brought my friends there, expecting the same experience. Unfortunately, it was a complete letdown.
Ordered my usual aglio olio and asked to add noodles like I always do at Cuppage, but the female staff rudely rejected the request, saying “Orchard is Orchard, here is Kallang.” I wasn’t asking for special treatment — just some consistency and a bit of basic courtesy. She wasn’t even wearing a name tag, so I couldn’t identify her.
What followed was worse — the pasta came drenched in oil. I requested a change, only to be served an extremely dry version. The quality and service were disappointing, and it was embarrassing after I had raved so much about the brand to my friends.
As a reputable chain, Al Capone’s should maintain consistent standards across all outlets, and staff should be trained to communicate professionally. I also reached out via Instagram and Facebook before posting here but received no reply. Posting this in hopes that the team sees it and takes it seriously.

first time coming to this restaurant to try and all the food I ordered here tasted heavenly including the apple juice. service was super fast too and not crowded during peak hours. cozy atmosphere with dim lights and nice music, will definitely come back again!
