Lorna Whiston Preschool Kallang Wave

My daughter has just joined the LW school at Kallang as a N1 student. Thanks to the patience and love from the class teachers Ms Sher Min and Wang Lao Shi, and all the other teachers and assistants, and Pricipal Ms Mala, she is able to settle down to the new environment quickly and is excited to go to school to learn and play everyday. The school curriculum and environment is very well designed. Ultimately it’s the teachers’ passion and professionalism making it a great pre-school for young kids. Special thanks to Teacher Sher Min who is my daughter’s “best friend I love”.

I’m pleased with the experience my children and I are having at Lorna Whiston (Kallang Wave). We have been with them for four years, since PG. Their curriculum is thoughtfully designed to build confidence from an early age, with a strong emphasis on speech and drama, reading, and presentation skills—all delivered by experienced and knowledgeable local and native teachers. The outdoor and nature play opportunities are great, with access to a spacious public water and sand play area, abundant greenery, and nearby mall and sports facilities that further enrich the overall experience. The masterclasses in taekwondo, sports, art, and music add to the fun and holistic experience. The teachers are open, supportive, and genuinely committed to each child’s development. I also appreciate the diversity among the students, and the school’s efforts in fostering cultural awareness and appreciation by celebrating different festivities and embracing each child’s unique differences. Special thanks to Ms Jamie, Sun Laoshi, Ms Qinah, Wang Laoshi, and the rest of the teachers and staff for their dedication and care.

We love Lorna Whiston @ Kallang! The teachers are incredibly patient and nurturing, especially with Zed. He’s learning so much while having fun, and it’s amazing to see his confidence grow. Highly recommend this warm and supportive school!

Lorna Whiston has been a family to my first born (graduated 2023) and now to my second son. He loves to go to school and the teachers are very friendly and caring. Special shoutout to my son's teachers, Ms Jane and Jist Loashe. They have created a great bond with my son. Indoor or outdoor, there is always something unique to learn and explore everyday. It really has a very fun and creative environment. May be next time call me to join the fun?! ;)

Excellent teachers and facilities that are just right for the preschool kids. We are happy with their curriculum as well. Thanks to Ms.Qinah and Ms.Mizah for helping my daughter feel ease. My elder one went to the same school as well. Highly recommend

I've been sending my son to school since he was in N1, and it's hard to believe it's already been over four years. Ensuring that he feels comfortable and happy at school has always been my top priority, and this remains true every morning. Now in class K2 Harmony, he often tells me how much he loves his form teachers and enjoys playing with his friends. I've witnessed tremendous growth in him recently, and I truly attribute that to the school's well-rounded curriculum and the dedicated efforts of his teachers.

My daughter has gone to this school since PG and enjoys it a lot. (She insisted on 5 stars for the teachers!) The teachers genuinely care for the kids and this makes the environment very conducive for learning and growth.

I knew I wanted my child to attend Lorna Whiston and I didn’t look elsewhere cause back when I was in primary school, I enjoyed their speech and drama classes! My firstborn attended Lorna Whiston in 2021 and she loves her teachers and the curriculum. Transition to school was easy too because of the wonderful teachers at LWPS Kallang Wave! Some great and passionate teachers we came across are Ms Sabrina, Ms Mizah, Ms Ema, Ms Grace and her Mandarin teachers! LWPS prepped her so well in the crucial years of Nursery that now at Kindergarten, she is well ahead of her peers in reading and writing (kudos to the school!) In 2024, my second born joined the school too (of course it was such an easy decision) and we had the opportunity to work with Ms Mala who is presently the centre principal! She has done an amazing job in making the curriculum more exciting and holistic with the Masterclass programs offering sports, art & craft, speech and drama etc. My second born looks forward to Fun Fridays and even wants to go to school on weekends 🤣 What’s even better- my first born form teacher back in N2 is now my second born form teacher too! We love you Ms Sabrina!! 🤩 Overall, my girls are happy and healthy at Lorna Whiston!

My boy attends Playgroup at Lorna Whiston Kallang Wave Mall. Have been very pleasantly surprised by the teachers, staff, and range of activities planned. The teachers and staff are friendly and great with the kids, and they work so well with each other (with everyone chipping in to run the ship) that I almost feel like I've stepped into a big family home rather than a school sometimes, which is a nice vibe. Activity wise, the school often brings the children out of the classroom to explore their surroundings, given the wide Kallang basin 'backyard' that the school gets to make use of. There are even special event days where parents can join in for activities (eg Yoga class for both the kids and parents)! I get picture updates almost everyday through the app on key class activities. Thumbs up!

My child loves going to school and talks about her teachers and friends daily. Very thankful to these passionate, patient and loving teachers (Ms Sher Min and Laoshi) for making school such a fun environment for the children. Love the location, the facilities, and the well planned activities and celebrations at Lorna Whiston. Our child is currently on the half day programme but we are so excited to let her join the Masterclasses in the future!

I am incredibly impressed with Lorna Whiston Kallang! The school offers a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor learning experiences. My daughter started two months ago and has made amazing progress. The school incorporates nature walks, public water play areas, and the mall environment to teach in real-world environment. These activities are not only fun but educational, helping children grow in a natural and engaging setting. My daughter has already expanded her vocabulary and is becoming so articulate. It’s a fantastic place for young children to learn and develop in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Just want to express a big big thank you to Lorna Whiston Ms Mala in Kallang Wave. Class teacher Jamie and Ms Wang also took care of my kid wholeheartedly and even discussed with me on how to ease her into the new school when she first joined. My kid loves her school so much and looks forward to going to school every day now. All the master classes and fun Friday activities are well planned to make all the kids enjoyable. There are sand play, water play, cookery, dramas class, etc. Food is great, environment is great and teachers are great also!

My daughter started preschool here at Lorna Whiston this year and she looks forward to going to school everyday. The curriculum is great with lots of fun activities for the kids. She’s most excited about the fun Friday activities and water play day! I also like that the school involves parents in some of the activities so we get to experience what our kids are up to in school. Thankful to the team, Ms Mala and her playgroup teachers Jish Laoshi and Ms Jane for taking such great care of her.

The school has just changed their management last year and it is a very good change for the school in terms of curriculum and their activities for children. The environment is clean, comfortable and with Kallang Wave other amenities in place like the water playground, sandpits and water fountains, the kids are bound to have endless fun. My child enjoys going to school so much that she throws tantrum when we told her there’s no school on weekends! 😃

My daughter started at LW Kallang Wave Mall in March and she has adjusted well to the school. The teachers are caring and go out of their way to show concern for the kids (including buying strawberries for my daughter!). Love it that there’s lots of outdoor activities! We love it there!
