Good Thai food, but I would skip the desserts. The ice was chunky, don't think they bothered to shave the ice, it was more like crushed ice all stuck together, half the time we were hammering at the ice.

🌶️🇹🇭 Sanook Kitchen – A Tasty Thai Treat with a Smile! 😋✨ Craving Thai food today and decided to give Sanook Kitchen a try — and what a satisfying decision it turned out to be! From the warm service to the flavorful dishes, this place left me with a happy belly and a smile on my face. 😍🍽️ I opted for their Promotion Set Menu: Green Curry Bliss at $33.90, which turned out to be an excellent value for the quality and variety provided. 🥢🌿 Let me walk you through what I had: 🌟 1. Green Curry Chicken Absolutely the star of the meal! The curry was rich, creamy, and had that authentic Thai fragrance from the basil and coconut milk. The chicken was tender, and the portion was generous. Definitely lived up to its name — pure green curry bliss! 💚🐔🔥 🍄 2. Kailan with Mushrooms A solid veggie side — the kailan was fresh and crunchy, and the mushrooms gave it that nice umami boost. Balanced and light, it paired really well with the richness of the curry. 🥬🍄👌 🥢 3. Spring Rolls Honestly, this was the weakest dish of the set. While crispy on the outside, the taste felt a bit generic — like something sourced from a frozen packet. Not bad, just not memorable. Maybe skip this next time unless you’re craving something crunchy. 😅 🐟 4. Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet Surprisingly good! The fish was super crunchy on the outside, yet moist and flaky inside. The sweet and sour sauce had a nice tang without being overly sweet. This one definitely hits the mark for those who enjoy that sweet-spicy combo. 🍬🌶️🐠 🍚🥭 5. Mango Sticky Rice Dessert This Thai classic came as the final touch to the set — beautifully presented with ripe, juicy mango and glutinous sticky rice. However, I did find it missing the salty kick of the coconut cream (santan), which usually balances the sweetness and lifts the dish. A little pinch of salt in the santan would’ve elevated this dessert to the next level. Still decent, but slightly underwhelming for Thai dessert lovers. 😔🥥 💁♀️ Service Highlight: A special shoutout to the lovely Thai lady who served us — she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole dining experience even better with her warm hospitality. It’s always a plus when good food is matched with genuine service. 🙏🇹🇭💖 ✅ Overall Verdict: Great meal, value-for-money set, and warm service. Perfect for casual dining if you're craving familiar Thai flavors with a comforting home-style vibe. I’ll definitely come back to try other sets or their à la carte dishes! 😍🍛 ⭐ Rating: 8.5/10 Would return for the curry and fish fillet alone! Just hope they tweak that santan next time 😉🔥

Amazing Service and Delicious Food! I had a fantastic dining experience at Sanook Kitchen in Kallang Wave Mall. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed. The food was served promptly, and every dish was flavorful and authentic — the Pad Thai and Green Curry were especially delightful! What stood out most was their impeccable service. The team checked in regularly to ensure we were happy with our meal, and they even offered great recommendations. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of great food and excellent service. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving delicious Thai food in a welcoming environment. I will definitely be back soon!

We had a very disappointing experience dining here as a family of four with two young children. We came in intending to order the kids’ meals displayed at the entrance, but the mobile ordering app didn’t have those options. So we placed our order directly with the staff. My husband’s meal arrived first, but the kids’ meals and mine only came 20 to 30 minutes later, even though another family with children, who came after us, received their food earlier. When we raised this with the staff, the kids’ meals were finally served, but oddly on different plates, likely because they ran out. To make matters worse, the chicken wings in the kids’ meals were undercooked with visible blood. When we asked about the delay in my meal, staff simply said they were understaffed, yet they continued to prioritize and serve larger groups who came later. For instance, I ordered a simple bowl of white rice, but five portions were sent to another table before mine. We also didn’t receive the toy that was supposed to come with the kids’ meal. When we checked with the cashier, we were rudely told, “Our staff should have already told you there’s no more toys, but you still chose to order.” That was uncalled for, no one had informed us about the missing toy. When we raised our overall feedback to the cashier, we felt completely dismissed. Instead of acknowledging our concerns, he simply said, “Sorry, we are understaffed,” with no real attempt to listen or make things right. It felt like our feedback didn’t matter at all. We’re not unreasonable customers, but the overall treatment felt dismissive and unfair from start to finish. Definitely not returning.

Disappointing Experience with Poor Service and Underwhelming Food Had a thoroughly disappointing lunch at this restaurant. Despite being the only table dining at the time, we had to raise our voices twice just to get the server’s attention. It was baffling to see the server repeatedly staring into the kitchen instead of attending to guests. The food didn’t fare any better. The mango salad came with slices that were far too thick, making it unpleasant to eat. The chendol, which we expected to be rich with gula melaka, was completely lacking in flavor—and the ice was coarse and hard, which further ruined the dessert experience. To top it off, the manager’s farewell was cold and insincere, which left us with an even worse impression. The overall service and attitude were far from welcoming. Regrettably, I wouldn’t recommend this place to others, nor do I see myself returning.

Called to make a reservation for dinner here on a weekday for 30+ pax and Izzu was a great help with the pre-orders, the way we want the food to be served & confirmation of the seating arrangement. Pre-orders are required for reservations above 20 pax. Payment is done on d-day and no deposit required. We were able to request for cancellation of certain orders as well given dropouts on d-day and it was a smooth process. Food was served very quickly as well since we mentioned our tight schedule. Great service and food overall. Thank you to Izzu, chef and service crew!

Delicious food and excellent service!** It was our first time here, and we were genuinely impressed. The food was not only tasty but also served in generous portions. What made the experience even better was the warm and attentive service. Carol and her team truly went above and beyond to make us feel right at home.

Ordered the “Daily Set for 2” that cost $32.90. Affordable and a good deal for a weekday dinner. Separately gotten an Iced Thai Milk Tea. Veg dish was good & nicely stir-fried with oyster sauce if I’m not wrong. The downside of the dinner was with the prawn omelette. Probably 75% of the egg was overly fried and felt like I was just eating oil & crisps. Not sure if the dish is meant to be this way, but the table beside us ordered the same set & asked for their egg to be re-served. Seems like we weren’t the only one unsatisfied with it. Citing that the bean sprouts felt raw, & that the egg was too oily & felt like there wasn’t any egg omelette in the dish 🤦🏻♂️ Green curry was tasty & went well with the fragrant rice. Overall, the food was alright, but the whole set was kinda spoilt by the egg dish.
