Warning - Please do not send your kids to this school . I am the father of the above mentioned. I was heart broken when I heard about what happened. Teachers are there to guide and teach and not scold at young children. It must have been devastating for my 5 year old daughter as it was her 1st class in a new environment with no friends. Just imagine how a little girl would have felt after getting scolded for just trying to learn. She would have been mortified for 45 mins and must have waited for us to come fetch her as soon as possible. When I asked the teacher how could you scold a child like that on her 1st day she even asked “why not?!” And the biggest joke was when we approached the principal even she said they are a strict school and their exams are just around the corner. If we’re not happy with their teaching style so be it. Extremely rude, unapologetic and appealing behaviour.

My daughter enjoys her ballet journey with YBA, the very high standard ballet school in SG market, professional and caring teachers, beautiful and high ceiling studios, many outstanding peer dancers…… Ballet is one of most demanding performing arts. Though the teachers are strict and my daughter even shed tears in the class at the beginning, she improved a lot and got good results in RAD exam and competitions. No pain no gain. Thanks YBA teachers inspire her passion for ballet. Really grateful 🙏

Extremely grateful for all the teachers in YBA. Since my daughter started training there, she had improved a lot and won a lot of competitions.

Thanks to the dedicated teachers in YBA, my daughter has improved tremendously since she transferred to YBA four years ago. YBA teachers are very passionate and have strong professional background that really inspires the students. They are very caring while being strict and disciplined. YBA offers ample opportunities for performances, competitions and masterclasses in addition to the RAD curriculum and Elite program. Highly recommended especially for students preparing for vocational school or with a dream of becoming a professional ballerina.

I was surprised to see the scathing review for YBA. My daughter has been attending YBA for the past 4 years and I can attest that all her ballet teachers have been extremely caring, patient and nurturing towards her. In fact YBA has fuelled her interest and passion in ballet more than ever! I would strongly recommend YBA to students interested in getting a good foundation in ballet / dance in a supportive environment:

Big thanks to Ms Maggie for your professionalism and patience in teaching my daughter and Ms Yvonne for always being so cheerful, welcoming and helpful. They make the weekly lessons very enjoyable. The school’s SOP is also flexible and understanding. Overall a great dance school!
