Singapore's tallest indoor climbing wall at Kallang Wave Mall, featuring 16-meter walls, 45 climbing lanes, and innovative safety systems for all ages.
Climb Central at Kallang Wave Mall stands as Singapore's premier indoor climbing destination, featuring the country's tallest air-conditioned indoor rock face at 16 meters high within the basement level (#B1-01) of the Sports Hub complex. Operating Monday-Friday 11am-11pm and weekends 9am-9pm with contact at 6702 7972, this flagship facility offers 45 climbing lanes, lead climbing options, and a 4-meter-high bouldering wall using world-class Walltopia wall design. As the first Climb Central outlet in Singapore's chain of 4 locations, this Sports Hub facility has established itself as the gold standard for indoor climbing experiences, welcoming participants aged 5 and above regardless of prior climbing experience.
The facility's innovative safety system eliminates traditional belaying concerns through special anchor points and safety devices that allow anyone to belay safely after a comprehensive 15-minute briefing, making climbing accessible to families and individuals without specialized training. With over 50 routes of varying difficulty levels, from beginner-friendly paths to expert challenges, climbers can progress naturally while enjoying the convenience of provided equipment, lockers, changing facilities, and water stations. The unique ground-floor anchor system addresses weight differences between belayers and climbers, ensuring safety and enjoyment for all participants while maintaining professional standards.
Pricing at 5-32 for adults and 0-28 for youth makes premium climbing accessible, while the facility's strategic mall location creates an engaging spectacle for onlookers and attracts curious newcomers to the sport. The auto-belay, top rope, and lead climbing options cater to different skill levels and preferences, while the 4-meter bouldering section provides additional challenges and training opportunities. With its position as Singapore's tallest indoor climbing wall and integration within the vibrant Sports Hub ecosystem, Climb Central continues to lead the local climbing community while introducing countless visitors to the excitement and fitness benefits of this rapidly growing sport.
Too crowded with students on weekdays as I am trying to visit but feel disappointed and there isn't any many rooms for other climbers so please check and reconsider before you come to climb the next time as they also said it was open but full of students. Due to PDPA it is not so nice to post photos.

Only thing that marred the experience was the instructor being unnecessarily and persistently sexist while doing the safety training.
Otherwise the staff helping with registration and rentals were really nice and helpful, and the climbing facilities themselves were great. Lots of fun options and the autobelayer worked better than I thought it would.
Once you get past the safety training I think you can just get to climbing with friends or alone, the bad impression at safety training makes it hard to wholeheartedly recommend this place but hopefully it's not something you have to keep experiencing. Just be prepared.

Climb Central is quite OK and they have top rope, auto belay and bouldering area. Somehow when your kids are only 12 years old, they can climb but they can’t boulder. It’s a bit strange but that’s their safety rules!
Everyone needs to go through a safety introduction which is good if you are there to try out climbing and everyone needs to pay for equipment for the first time at their gym
Even if you have all gear with you.
Maybe this could be improved in the future and they could differentiate between people who are there to try it out and people who did climbing courses already for top rope and lead rope. This would be very nice!
Overall an OK gym but very crowed on the weekends.

Sassy male staff yelling at customers whilst providing no instructions. What's the point of complaining about your colleagues abandoning you for lunch? Maybe if you're less toxic, they might invite you?

Good climbing routes with mix of lead climbing , auto belay and bouldering . The staff is good BUT the facility lacks the basic infrastructure for a women’s toilet inside the gym for which a female has to go find one around the mall , good luck with finding a restroom and using it if there is a concert at the venue.

A great challenging set of walls! The staff train amateurs well before they begin climbing. There are good offers for regular customers. It's popular with youngsters. Very clean and organized. However, it's a little congested especially during peak hours. But it was a great experience!

My first visit to Climb Central Sports Hub was a fantastic experience. I appreciated how straightforward the process was: filling out the waiver form, making payment for the session and equipment rental, and getting started.
What stood out to me the most was the emphasis on safety. The staff conducted a thorough safety briefing and practice session before issuing name tags. They ensured that everyone above 13 years old was proficient in belaying and gave us a chance to familiarize ourselves with the automatic belay system. This was a step I hadn’t encountered at another climbing venue two years ago, and it made a big difference in building confidence.
I also liked how every course was clearly labeled with its difficulty level. This made it easier for amateur climbers like us to pick suitable challenges. I managed to complete four courses designed for children, which helped boost my confidence as I reacquainted myself with climbing. Our daughter had an amazing time too—her enthusiasm was infectious. She eagerly explored different courses, and seeing peers her age climbing alongside her inspired her to push her limits and aim higher with each attempt.
The entire experience at Climb Central, from the organization to the positive atmosphere, rekindled my interest in wall climbing after more than a decade of inactivity following marriage. I’m excited to return regularly with my family and continue exploring this rewarding activity together.

Climbing gym friendly for beginners and experienced climbers alike. Has auto-belay lanes for those who climb solo and they change their routes fairly often.

Climb Central located at Kallang Wave mall is a pretty good place to rock climb for all levels of wall climbing be they beginners, intermediate or the experienced climbers.
If its your first time climbing at any Climb Central branch then even if you are an expert, you will still have to attend a mandatory lesson to get yourself a pass.
The staff are quite nice and are willing to help. The place has the manual and the automatic belay system. Their walls can be quite challenging with the jutting out pieces getting smaller or tougher to grip onto as you make your way higher up the wall.
There are lockers and cupboards placed there for precious items and they have changing rooms which are in the bathroom.
They also added a water cooler near the lockers for which you would need a bottle to use.
Overall its a pretty good place for rock climbing but if you have really young kids, it might be a bit tough on them.

A better experience than Funan and Novena who almost had me wait an hour for safety briefing. Staff were helpful and clear in instructions. Safety briefing started promptly as most climbers were experienced ones who didn’t need them and there were about 3 staff at the front desk for registration and collection of safety equipment. They ensured our safety by getting the adult and child to try out before allowing us to explore on our own. Good that there is a water cooler for refill of bottles.
A few areas for improvement: 1) locker system poorly planned: needed your own locks which we didn’t remember we needed since it was years ago we last went, 2) abit strange that shower room available but not toilet 😅

We absolutely loved this place. Kids had alot fun in a safe, air-con environment, surrounded by a few cafes in a shopping mall. Friendly staffs and very well-designed establishment. Loved it~

Climb Central Sports Hub is considered one of the larger climb central in Singapore. It's well maintained and clean. It has a training area for those who are new to practice. There's also a pretty huge area for bouldering.
For the resting area, there's chairs and platforms for climbers to rest.
Staff are helpful and pleasant.
There's also a water cooler machine that you can refill your water bottle.
Noted there is no toilet within the climbing gym.
One thing is that some of the routes do remain the same after a few months.
It closes at 11pm l. Nearest mrt is Stadium (Circle line).

Always a pleasant experience at this particular outlet of Climb Central. Good space for all climbers - from beginners, intermediate, advanced to experts. Booking for climbing slots has to be done three days in advance via their website. You may sign up for a regular pass if you intend to climb frequently (applicable to be used at other outlets in SG too). Otherwise, it is $25 for first-timers (including $7 rental for the climbing shoes and harness). Their equipments and walls are well-maintained. Personal climbing shoes and harness/chalks also welcomed.
Very friendly and efficient staff and instructors too. Detailed safety briefing is conducted at the start if required for beginners. They are also always on the lookout for the well-being of all climbers throughout your session. Each session is now limited to 2 hours due to Covid. The overall climbing community is very inclusive and helpful - makes everything more enjoyable. Auto belay system available on the second level.
